EXCITING WORLD PREMIERE OF BAVARIAS NEW CRUISER 40 S IN DÜSSLEDORF
BAVARIA and Match Race Germany sail together into a sporty future
BAVARIA celebrated the eagerly awaited world premiere of the new CRUISER 40 S at the Düsseldorf boat show on Sunday afternoon.
The yacht with the new Sport package, which was designed by Farr Yacht Design, was presented by Dr. Jens Ludmann, CEO BAVARIA and the organization around Match Race Germany and regatta sailing star Markus Wieser at the BAVARIA sailing boat stand. Tim Kröger, the well-known professional sailor, led through the presentation.
´After successfully running with the BAVARIA 35 Match over the last few years and an immense contribution to the Match Race Germany at the Lake Constance we are very much looking forward to a continued good partnership with Match Race Germany GmbH with the brand new 40 S fleet´, says Dr. Jens Ludmann, CEO BAVARIA. ´We will have seven boats at the competition in May at Lake Constance that will fight for victory and we are very excited about it.´
During the presentation, Dr. Jens Ludmann symbolically handed over a Carbon steering wheel to the founders of Match Race Germany, Harald Thierer, Eberhard Magg and Bernd Buck.
BAVARIA´S goal was to offer the customer a yacht, which combines comfort and functionality, but has performance characteristics as the main features. The principal concept is based on the CRUISER 40, which was launched at the HISWA in Amsterdam last September.
´BAVARIA is a very important partner for us. We are now in our fourth turn of having a new regatta fleet provided by BAVARIA with the new 40 S since our first liaison in 2003 and we are looking forward to racing with those truly fantastic new boats. We are also very excited about BAVARIA´S engagement and organization around the Match Race Germany over the next years´, says Harald Thierer.
The CRUISER 40 S is still on show at the Düsseldorf boat show until 30th January 2011 in Hall 16.
